Farm Wedding Scotland | Barn Wedding at home, Fife

From the stunning farm barn interior to the four seasons of weather they had all in one day, Lorna & Matt's wedding day was everything I absolutely adore about weddings. The rustic charm of their family farm coupled with the elegance of their decor choices and the beauty of the country church ceremony, conducted to the sound of thundering rain, it was a wedding day full of what can only be best described the Danish way, #hygge (pronounced, 'hue-guh'). It was well and truly a #hyggewedding.

I'd been fortunate enough to shoot for the family prior to this day, as I'd captured the wedding of Matt's lovely sister and her husband a couple of years before, so it was a complete joy to be back in amongst them all, seeing some familiar faces. The first time round, the farm had only been used as a spot to get ready from, with the bonnie black labs padding around, and their reception had been held at the stunning Kinkell Byre, which was just as beautiful a barn conversion venue as the home farm turned out to be, so it was amazing to be back at the farm seeing it used so differently this time round.

Rather impressively, Matt & Lorna prepared and decorated the barn themselves. Matt power-washed all the internal walls and used crop sheets as beautiful hanging drapes across the ceiling, alongside strips of fairy lights.

Every detail was thought-through beautifully and the joy of the day, despite the changeable weather, was boundless.
