Photography of any kind is precious.Whether it be capturing sun-soaked holidays or memorable evenings out, the early years of family life or Graduation Day, photographs of all kinds have an important place in life.Often under-rated but devastatingly missed when lost, photographs capture the moments that sometimes only last a second, yet live in our hearts forever.Wedding Photography is especially prominent in telling the story of our lives and one of the many sets of photographs that really should be treasured. Their value grows with the years that pass and they provide an insight into the split seconds of a day that, more often than not, feels as though it flies past in one.---------------------A wedding photographer is more than just someone with great eye and skill with the camera – they have a genuine interest in people.A real appreciation for what makes people unique, their idiosyncrasies and the heart to capture the depth of emotion, true intimacy and happiness of someone's wedding day, without intruding on those moments.Through reportage, natural photography, I depict the special moments from the day, unposed and genuine.On offer to everyone are two complimentary consultations, either in Edinburgh City Centre, the surrounding areas in Lothian or Glasgow. Wreck the Dress the "wReCk the DrEsS" portfolio
Ok, don't panic....it sounds a little bit risky at first glance, but the theory behind 'Wreck the Dress' is in actuality, a lovely one.I'm looking for post-wedding brides and prom girls to help me create this NEW summer-launch portfolio and your participation will be completely free of charge.No harm (irreversible, that is) can be done to your dress really..unless of course you'd want it to.The idea is to have brides in their wedding dresses and photograph them in places that you wouldnt typically see a bride. For instance, sitting on a wall by the beach with a graffiti wall behind her or climbing a tree (a small one of course). Of course, brides want to keep the dress in pristine condition prior to the wedding (and rightfully so). But what about those who want to put the dress back on and have some fun photos in it after the big day? The intention isn't really to wreck the dress - it's just that the intention is not to save it. There is a common understanding that you should put your wedding dress in a vacuum packed container and save it for eternity in the hope that your daughter will someday wear it but let's face it... the likelyhood of that is slim. So why not give your dress one last outing, before it gets sealed in the loft and too easily forgotten? Bring it out and have some fun, you'll walk away with some fantastic photos and, if your dress has survived the shoot, you could even think of passing it on for someone else to give it a second go.If you're interested please get in touch.(This can also apply to Prom Dresses and formal wear you won't see yourself wearing too often again.)
